Our Research
Formerly part of UMIST, we are part of the Astronomy and Astrophysics Group in
the School of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Manchester. We are
interested in theory and modelling of plasmas in the atmosphere of the Sun
and elsewhere. In particular, we study the complex interactions between plasma
and magnetic fields in the solar corona, in the context of recent observations
from space observatories such as TRACE and SOHO. More details of our work can
be found in the Research section.
